Jacaranda acquires Rest in Power by parents of Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin’s parents’ memoir to be published by Jacaranda Books

Independent publisher Jacaranda Books will publish REST IN POWER: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin by Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, the parents of Trayvon Martin.  Rest in Power, a parents’ story of love, injustice and the birth of a movement, will be published in February 2017 to coincide with what would have been Trayvon’s 22nd birthday and in advance of the five-year anniversary of his tragic death.

Trayvon Martin’s death in 2012 rocked the world when he was shot through the chest and killed as he returned home from the local store. Through Rest in Power Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin reveal the true story of their son’s life, his tragic death and the campaign for justice that touch the world and later gave rise to the powerful Black Lives Matter movement, now a global phenomenon.

In the US the book will be published by Spiegel & Grau.
